Howdy, ya’ll! Our 2-3 year old summer playdate series started off wonderfully, with fun on the farm!
Throughout the week, we talked about all of the different farm animals you find on a farm, and what we get from farms. They were great farmers, and even got to “milk” a pretend cow 🙂

Our Super Heroes taking a much needed break from crime fighting for a Kona Ice
We are excited to announce our Summer Playdate Series! Everyone loves a playdate, but the kids want to have them more than parents like to host them. Let us play host this summer . . . that means no mess, no noise, no cleanup and no negotiations about who gets to come over. We have decided that summertime at Creative Tots should be more about what the kids want. The kids want to play. The kids want to see their friends. The kids have spoken and we have listened. They think that anything to do with “camp” might just be a little too much like school. Let your kids explore they way they are built to explore . . . through playing in the summertime with their friends. So, grab a friend and join us!Once upon a time in a Kingdom not so far away, there were Princesses and Pirates celebrating a beautiful summer day! Pirates and Princess week was a jolly good time. We searched for treasure, we made wishes with fairy dust and even learned to talk like a pirate. This week was a huge success and a lot of fun for both boys and girls!

We know it’s different in the summer. It is time for vacation. Visits to the lake house, the beach . . . home-improvement projects. That’s why we offer our special summer programs for our students. Activity themes that change weekly allow you to come and go as you please over the summer months. Sign-up for one week or all of them as your child will have the opportunity to become participate in the NEW Greenkids Program on “Salad Science” or “Upcycled Art.” They may want to learn to paint like Van Gogh in the Wonder Workshops or sing and dance with recording artist Miss Joanie. Whatever you choose, they are sure to have fun. Who knows? They may even learn something along the way.

There is always a line at the face painting booth during our Back to School Carnival
After filing away the pictures from the Creative Tots back to school carnival this summer, I came across a few I had to post. It was such a wonderful event this year with nearly all the families participating. The kids had such a great time. It is always fun to see the families interact, some for the first time and others see their friends and neighbors there only to realize that they both have students at the school. We learn something each year with the carnival. This year it was that you can never have enough popcorn and face painting is apparently the first order of business for all the kids upon arrival.
Remember that the first week is transitional week for the toddler program. What this means is that they will only be in school for 1 ½ hours for the week of September 8-11th instead of the regular full 2 ½ hours. If your child is enrolled in the am toddler session it will run from 9:00 to 10:30. The pm session on Tuesday and Thursday will run from 12:00-1:30.
Summer fun with our "Water Wednesdays"
Regular hours 9-11:30/12:00-2:30 will begin the following week. The room is coming together nicely as the teachers have been there morning until night preparing for the arrival of our toddler class. The summer was full and exciting and allowed for some great activities with the kids at Tots. This year will be nothing short of fantastic.
This summer at Tots
The summer has passed and this year our pre-K program once again is near capacity. Our graduates have begun school and are already getting rave reviews. Kindergarten is a big step and the confidence with which our students leave the pre-K program is unmatched. Academics are taught through an incredible array of avenues and this year will be no exception. The popularity of our programs has reached an unprecidented peak this year and the varied experiences planned for our pre-K students is exciting. Many of our kids were here this summer and are excited to start the new year.
Creative Tots has specialized in the private education of both toddlers and preschool age children for over 15 years. We began in the heart of Madeira and now also have a new Mason location. We are specifically designed to focus on early childhood development for children ages 18 months to 5 years.
