  • Bunnies, Chicks, and Eggs

We had a quick turnaround from spring break to Easter.  The toddlers spent the week doing chick prints, egg matching, egg hunts, washi tape egg crafts, and matching bunny tails.

  • Bunnies and Eggs Distance Learning

The Distance Learning Packet this week included lots of fun surprises and activities!

Watercolor paints and stickers were provided to create special Easter cards.

Washi Tape and circle stickers provided some good fine motor practice while decorating oval eggs.

Matching bunny tails was a big hit too!

The jelly bean match up was a quick practice in color matching with a fun treat at the end.  Counting bunny crackers too!

The mystery can was full of veggies and the match up sheet was fun practice naming different vegetables and fruits, sorting by color and type!

A baggie of eggs that were filled with different movement activities provided some fun outside or inside!

Our Zoom toddler music class was so much fun with Ms. Joanie!

  • Spring: Oval Eggs, Bunnies, and Garden

The toddlers shape study this month is the oval.  We have done lots of oval egg crafts and activities this month.  We have decorated an egg with washi tape, done an egg jelly bean match, and then of course an egg hunt!

Bunnies hop into our spring curriculum as well.  A ride on the big slide is fun for all!

Our discovery bins, sensory bin, and home living center focused on the garden and its bounty.  The bbq grill and veggies made for fun pretend “grill outs”.

    Fine motor skills:  lacing flowers!

Working on one more page of our color book.  We are putting the pages together for an end of year keepsake.

  • Easter Egg Hunt!

It’s that time of year again!  As we eagerly await the arrival of the Easter bunny, we need to practice our egg hunting skills!  A big thank you to all of you who helped make this a fun occasion by sending in pre-filled Easter eggs.  We are thrilled that every child brought in eggs to share and had a blast participating!

  • Creative Tots Egg-cellent Adventure!

With Easter just around the corner, we, fittingly, used our cooking day to dye Easter eggs!  The children had the option of drawing on their egg before dying it or just dipping it into a variety of fun Easter colors.  Once our eggs looked egg-stra perfect, the boys and girls learned about how to hard boil an egg.  Looking at the difference between a hard boiled egg and a raw egg, the children decided hard boiled looked much more appetizing!  They got to put their taste buds to the test when each one had the opportunity to crack open their own hard boiled egg, slice it up, and eat it.  It was a delicious experience!
