I apologize for not posting this month!! I have so much to catch up on! 🙂 Check out some of the fun activities and learning experiences we’ve had throughout the month of November {including hand print turkeys, Indian corn/paint stampers, decorating turkeys with feathers on contact paper, and watercolor painting turkeys at the easel} I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
We have been very busy in the early 3’s class. I apologize for not posting more often. These days and weeks are just flying by! We have been working on writing our letters for the week in pink sand. The children have been doing so well with this! 😀 Lots of exciting moments as I watch children write different letters for the first time. We have been working on our scooping and pouring skills with a variety of experiences. Before Thanksgiving, we had a special whole group activity where the children came up and told me what they were thankful for. I wrote their response on a paper cut out of a feather, and they taped it onto the turkey on our magnetic board. Hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving! See you Monday!

We’ve been learning about Native Americans this month and how they helped the pilgrims survive when they started their lives in their new world! Today we discovered how some Native Americans told stories without letters or words and tried our hand at our own symbols.
It’s so hard to believe that it is the middle of November!!! Check out what we did today! In our small group, we practiced our sorting and shape recognition skills. The children practiced sorting squares (this month’s shape) and triangles (last month’s shape). We also made hand print turkeys (which will be ready to take home on Friday!) Our major accomplishment today was sitting for group on carpet squares! Quite the feat! 🙂 I was very proud of the children!!! Check out the last photo in this post as proof!
