Our day was filled with messy faces, dancing and singing, and of course making special reindeer food!=)
This week in the sensory table the kids are wrapping up all of their presents and giving gifts to each other. It was so fun to watch as they tried so hard to “wrap” their boxes! The best part was watching them give their wrapped presents to their friends!
This morning the kids used marbles and red paint to make their very own Candy Canes! Our letter this week is the letter C which made Candy Canes the perfect craft for this time of year!
Connor loved sorting the buttons onto the different color jars. As he sorted the buttons, we talked about the different colors and shapes of each one.
Sophia was having fun playing in the gingerbread house making all kinds of yummy treats! She was showing us all of the cookies she baked!
Penn and Sam decided to have some quiet time in the library to sit and read some books=) They look so comfortable on those pillows!
The kids had fun this afternoon in the sensory table filling presents and matching the right lids to the right presents. They were using their imaginations to fill the presents with toy cars, dolls, trucks and many other things!
This morning we made a mess with brown paint and gingerbread cookie cutters! The children were able to dip the gingerbread cookie cutters into paint and make gingerbread man prints all over the table! What a fun way to get messy!
This week we have been working on number recognition with the number 3. For our arts and craft project the children were able to decorate 3 gingerbread men with glitter and sprinkle glitter on the number 3. We counted each gingerbread man and talked about what the number 3 looks like.
Here is a good rhyme for remembering the number 3.
Round the tree,
Round the tree,
That’s how you make the number 3!
