Today we talked about Earth and how it is the only planet that people live on. We talked about how the blue part is all of the water on our planet and the green part is the land that we live on. The kids were able to create their own Earth by coloring their “Earth” with blue and green markers and then spraying it with water to make the colors spread.
This morning the kids were busy practicing their scissor skills at the sensory table. They loved being able to cut the paper into little pieces to fill the sensory table!
We have been talking about rocketships blasting into space and doing many countdowns as a class! This afternoon we experimented with a balloon, straw, and piece of string during group time. We asked the question “what do you think will happen if I blew up this balloon attached to the straw and then let it go?”

To kick off our Outer Space Theme this month, the kids worked hard creating astronauts and rocket ships to fly to the moon!
This month we are blasting off into space! The kids are having a wonderful time counting down and shooting off in the rocketships! They have also been putting on their space packs and walking on the moon with their special moons shoes!
Today Miss Joanie was here for music and the kids couldn’t wait to sit and sing with her! One of the best parts was trying to find Elmo in her guitar case!
It was a messy morning as the kids finger painted their shooting stars that will be hung around our classroom!
