Yesterday, our little artists made art with popcorn! The popcorn was sprinkled with Kool-Aid powder to give it some color.
Looks like someone got a little hungry!
The final product!
Today, our little artists painted with ice cubes! Our artists colored the paper with an ice cube, then sprinkled Kool-Aid powder on top, and used a wet paintbrush to spread the powder. They turned out to be really neat! Once the paintings were dry, they were mounted on black paper.
It's cold!
I did it!!
Look, I'm spreading it!
Yesterday, our little artists talked about colors again. They chose either blue or yellow paint, and then painted bubble wrap! They made a print of the bubble wrap on a piece of construction paper.
"I want blue because it matches my shirt!"
Press the paper down!
Wow!
Look what I did!
Mommy will love it!
Today, on our first day of “Little Artists at Work”, our little artists talked about their favorite colors! They dipped crayons into different colors of paint they like, then placed the crayons in a pitcher lined with paper. They shook the containers very fast!
The little artists were so excited to see how their paintings turned out after shaking!
The paintings were mounted on black paper after they dried.
Today, our little zoo keepers were so busy monkeying around! Look at what they made today!
Monkey Mask!
Yesterday, our little zoo keepers talked about animals they’ve seen at the zoo. Most have seen birds!
That tickles!!
The final product!
On Wednesday, our little zoo keepers painted elephants and polar bears. They used watercolor to create a tye-dye effect! The final products were really cute!
Yesterday, our little zoo keepers learned about different animals at the zoo. One of their favorites was the giraffe!
Look how many spots my giraffe has!
Today, our little zoo keepers made “zoo food”! Our little zoo keepers put Cheerios, raisins, oats, powdered sugar, and cereal puffs into a plastic bag. I’m sure if we took a field trip to the Cincinnati Zoo, the animals would love to eat this zoo food!
Yum!!
Our little zoo keepers also made thumbprint-spotted giraffes!
