“On top of spaghetti, all covered with cheese. I lost my poor meatball, when somebody sneezed. It rolled off the table, and onto the floor. And then my poor meatball rolled out of the door!”
We tried to keep our “meatballs” on top of the spaghetti today during recess…we did a great job, but they eventually went flying!
We read the book Curious George makes Pancakes outside today. George was a great pancake maker and an excellent flipper! We used put our hand/eye coordination to work today to work on our own flipping skills!
We followed the characters, Iguana, Pot-bellied pig, turtle, and rooster through the book Cook-a-doodle-doo today as they baked Great Granny’s (The Little Red Hen) famous strawberry shortcake. Iguana wanted to measure the flour with a ruler instead of a measuring cup while pot-bellied pig waited to be the “taster” at the end. We then tried out the Granny’s recipe and boy was it delicious!
Yesterday, our little zoo keepers made penguin footprints and lion handprints! The paintbrush tickeled their little feet and hands!
The final product!
Look how cute my lion is!
Today, we read If You Give a Moose a Muffin and the little chefs were inspired to make muffins! First, they filled the bowl with the ingredients and stirred it all.
After the muffins baked and cooled, they were wrapped up for the little chefs to enjoy at home!
Our little chefs cooked apple sauce at camp! First, the ingredients were poured into the bowl.
Then the ingredients were stirred together!
Then the little chefs mashed up the ingredients after they cooled from being cooked on the stove.
The apple sauce was put into jars for the little chefs to take home!
Yesterday, our little chefs learned how to make pizzas! First, they mushed down the dough and then spread sauce all over their mini pizzas!
Next, cheese and pepperoni were put on top of the sauce.
Our little chefs loved their pizzas and ate them for snack!
