Yesterday, on the fourth day of “Let’s Pretend!”, our little campers pretended to be athletes!  All of the girls wanted to be ballerinas and make tu-tus while the boys wanted to be football players and make football wreaths.  The girls had their hands painted pink!

Yesterday, on the third day of “Let’s Pretend!”, our little campers read Maisy Dresses Up by Lucy Cousins.  One of the characters dresses up as a king, and our little campers wanted to do the same!  First, each made a crown!

  • The Dinosaur Says “Roarrrr!!”…

Today, our little campers learned about dinosaurs!  After reading a story, they pretended to be dinosaurs and “roared” around the room!  They decorated felt dinosaurs with sequins and buttons.  Magnets were placed on the back of the dinos so they can hang nicely on your refridgerators!

  • What if You were a Firefighter?…

Yesterday on our first day of “Let’s Pretend!” our little campers pretended to be firefighters!  During story time, they learned all about firefighters.  They noticed that firefighters in the story have dalmatian dogs that live at the fire station, and they made dalmatians!  They used their thumbprints to make spots!

This week our kings and queens were quite busy! We made banners, crowns, dragons, wands, and even a sugar cube castle! We went on a treasure hunt inside our classroom and picked for frozen treasure outside on “Water Thursday”! During science this week we explored sunlight.

  • Look What You Can Make with Ice!…

Today, our little artists painted with ice cubes!  Our artists colored the paper with an ice cube, then sprinkled Kool-Aid powder on top, and used a wet paintbrush to spread the powder.  They turned out to be really neat!  Once the paintings were dry, they were mounted on black paper.
