We wrapped up our third week of summer camp today!! Yay! We had so much fun exploring music and instruments this week! The children were so excited to play with the inflatable guitars and take them home at the end of the day! We also painted pictures of guitars for our art activity. The children enjoyed playing in the water table with ice, sparkles, and music note confetti. Today, we had a very special treat- ICE CREAM!!! We enjoyed a refreshing treat on such a hot, summer day! Thank you so much for joining us this week!!!

Day 4 was a LOT of fun!!! We made “rain sticks” with tennis ball tubes, mini pompoms, and rice. The children LOVED shaking them and listening to the sounds they created. We enjoyed a special snack of strawberries with whipped cream! yum yum yum!!

We continued our music theme for the week with exploring musical instruments, singing, dancing with ribbons, and so on! We’ve had a lot of fun in the music center. Also, I brought in my guitar, and we sang together at the end of the day. Miss Kate taught the children a new song: “The Baby Bumblebee Song.” It was an instant hit! 🙂 The children also enjoyed the bee wings we made to go along with our “Flight of the Bumblebee” theme for day 3. Aside from the music theme for the week, the children had fun playing with bubbles and bouncing in the bouncy house.

We started music week this week! We set up a fun music center for the children to play instruments and sing. The sensory table was also a fun place to experiment with musical instruments and sounds. In addition, we painted ties for Father’s Day! Looking forward to more days of music this week!!
