This month the preschoolers are expanding their scissor skills. We are working on cutting zig-zag lines. If you would like to work with your child at home click here for a great printable!
We have some very brave eaters in the early 3’s! Our friends had a great time tasting green eggs and ham to celebrate St. Patty’s Day as well as Dr. Seuss’s Birthday!
The Early 3’s are continuing to work on their fine motor skills. Stringing beads help improve children’s ability to dress themselves, strengthens their pencil grasp, and improves their overall fine motor, visual perceptual, visual motor skills.
Our name activity for March has been building flowers using our names! Each child has to find their name and take it to the boy or girl flower and when all of the names are on the board we count how many boys and girls are at school. The children love to try to figure out who is not at school and if we have more boys or more girls.
The early 3’s explored math through their senses on Friday. They poured dirt into different sized cups to explore volume and size. They also cut play-d0h in the shapes of diamonds!
Cutting Diamonds with play-doh
It’s always fun to come up with vocabulary words that go with the letter of the week. “Monster” was especially fun! The early 3’s used their hand prints, googly eyes, and a marker to make some pretty silly monsters! Then a couple of them showed off their silly monster faces!
Today the toddlers enjoyed a special snack. Rainbow cupcakes topped with whipped cream and sprinkles!
Creative Tots has specialized in the private education of both toddlers and preschool age children for over 15 years. We began in the heart of Madeira and now also have a new Mason location. We are specifically designed to focus on early childhood development for children ages 18 months to 5 years.
