  • Sorting Letters

The Early 3’s are continuing to work on sorting and recognizing letters. This week we are focusing on letters S and Y. The students sorted letters onto paper plates. When it got too easy to sort out the S’s and Y’s they took it a step further and sorted the letters by color!

  • Exploring Icebergs

The Early 3’s are exploring winter weather this month. We took a closer look at our arctic friends and their habitat. We talked about what ice feels like, and whether it felt cold/hot, slippery, hard, etc. The early 3’s had an Arctic blast playing with these icebergs!

  • One Little, Two Little, Three Little Snowmen

We created our very own snowman suncatchers today to hang in our classroom windows to make it feel more like a winter wonderland!  We learned that Antarctica is covered in ice and snow, great for snowmen!  But, sadly we learned that no one lives there to build them except for some scientists who stay there for a short time to learn about Antarctica.

Click on the picture below to link to a great online interactive book for your child to build their own snowman as they practice their reading skills!

    Happy Reading!

  • Snowman Sculptures

What a great day to make our own snowman!  It was a cold snowy day outside.  As we watched the snowflakes fall from the sky out our windows we decided to create our own snowmen inside the classroom.
