{"id":13320,"date":"2012-01-30T18:41:27","date_gmt":"2012-01-30T22:41:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.creativetots.com\/blog\/?p=13320"},"modified":"2012-01-30T18:41:27","modified_gmt":"2012-01-30T22:41:27","slug":"reading-buddies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.creativetots.com\/blog\/reading-buddies\/","title":{"rendered":"Reading Buddies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Century Gothic'\"><span>We will be introduced to two new word families this week.-it, and -ot. \u00a0Today we focused on the -it family as we buddied up and read our -it family books in pairs. \u00a0The Paired Reading strategy encourages peer teaching and learning. \u00a0Students are divided into pairs and take turns reading aloud to each other. \u00a0Reading with a buddy encourages students to try reading materials that may be just above their normal reading level.
