Have you ever wondered how Emperor Penguins stay warm in the harsh climate of Antarctica? Well, today the students learned that Emperor Penguins huddle close together to stay warm. They also learned that the penguins take turns being in the middle and outsides to ensure that each penguin stays safe and warm.
We tried our own Emperor Penguin Huddle…
ANTARCTICA, THAT’S WHERE!
In small groups this afternoon, the kids had the opportunity to play two different math games that focused on number recognition and one-to-one correspondence. We had fun, fun, fun!
Today the kids finger painted using brown finger paint to make hot chocolate in their mugs! The special thing about this finger paint was that it smelled like real hot chocolate! After the “hot chocolate” dried, the kids got to top off their mugs with some marshmallows. The final step was to write their names on their mugs with the help of Ms. Rachel=)
Is your child getting bored of their flash cards? Here are some FUN games you can use in place of the flashcards and still practice sight words at home! Click on the picture to follow the link to the website where it is available for purchase. Have fun!
