  • Green St. Patrick’s Day

Our focus on the color green and St. Patrick’s Day combined to make a fun March!  The toddlers were immersed with green manipulatives, green play dough, green sensory bins, green snacks, and green crafts. After reading Little Blue and Little Yellow -we discovered that green is created from mixing blue and yellow. The leprechaun hid gold coins which the toddlers traded in for a rainbow snack.  We also created a green wand in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day.

  • St. Patrick’s Day!

Did you hear?! We had a LEPRECHAUN in the toddler classroom! That sneaky leprechaun made such a mess of our classroom! We talked all about trying to catch a leprechaun to take his gold, and how hard it is to catch one! Below you can see what kind of mischief that leprechaun got into.

For this St. Patrick’s Day activity, our friends rolled a die and whichever number they rolled, that’s how many gold coins they counted into their pots.

Shamrock crafts! One of our crafts was turning our white shamrock green, using glue and tissue paper. Our other craft was, putting glue onto their shamrock, and then they sprinkled glitter on top of the glue, to make a leprechaun wand!

Our last activity for our St. Patrick’s Day celebration was going on a gold hunt! Once they found THREE gold coins, they got to turn them in for a “gold bar” (a twix!)

  • St. Patricks Day in Preschool Prep!

The Preschool Prep class had a blast celebrating St. Patrick’s Day! They were able to go on a gold hunt, complete St. Patrick’s Day crafts, and have a yummy shamrock shaped treat!

  • St. Patrick’s Day Fun

The toddlers had such a fun week at Creative Tots celebrating St. Patrick’s Day! We started off the week painting leprechaun beards, using a fork instead of a paintbrush, for our pot of gold and leprechaun craft. Our other craft was practicing ripping tissue paper, which is one of our objectives this month (and great for hand strengthening), and then they used the ripped paper to make a shamrock.

We also had some St. Patty’s Day-themed activities for our friends to enjoy, such as St. Patrick’s Day discovery bins, and a shamrock toss!

Our St. Patty’s day snack was made by our friends by smearing on some white icing and then they got “magic” green sprinkles 😉 It was a hit!

We went on a gold hunt! That sneaky leprechaun hid gold coins all over our classroom. Our toddlers had to search around our classroom and find 5 gold coins each. They had such a fun time hunting for gold!
