This week the Toddlers marble painted the letter Z. They rolled the marbles back and forth to make the zebra’s stripes!

Any time your preschooler has the opportunity to count individual objects is wonderful practice. Encourage your little one to count anything and everything!

It’s always fun to come up with vocabulary words that go with the letter of the week. “Monster” was especially fun! The early 3’s used their hand prints, googly eyes, and a marker to make some pretty silly monsters! Then a couple of them showed off their silly monster faces!

The early 3’s worked on color matching featuring one of our favorite kinds of pets…CATS! They looked at the word for the color (which was written in that color) and matched it to the corresponding colored cat.

We have been exploring different textures during craft time. This month we made a soft dog, a scaly fish, and we will make a feathery bird next week!

For the month of December the Early 3’s are working hard to recognize the letters B and E. We have been singing the letter B and E songs, talking about whose name contains these letters, and doing lots of fun activities to immerse ourselves in the letters. One of our favorite activities was stamping the letters on paper using blocks and paint!

This month, the Toddlers have been exploring the theme of nature. We have talked about how the leaves change colors as the seasons turn. The boys and girls used their fine motor skills to stamp red, yellow, and orange leaves all over their trees.

We encourage you to participate – Thank you for your comments. We love to hear from all of you!
