  • The Forest Habitat and Our New Center!

    Happy October!  With the new month, we have introduced a new habitat in science: the forest.  The KPrep students have learned about different animals that can be found in the forest, specifically the great gray owl.  We have completed some fun forest themed art projects as well!

     We have introduced a new science discovery center in KPrep!  It is currently inspired by our forest habitat theme!  There are many natural forest items in the center, along with fun learning activities and thematic books!

  • Spiders

    This week we began a “spider” theme! In small groups today, we practiced our fine motor skills as we used tongs to put pom-poms onto spiders. We also practiced our writing skills by tracing straight, slanted, and curved lines leading to a spider.

    During our group time, we watched a video of how a spider spins her web. We talked about the “claw hook” on the spider’s back legs, which is used in the web-spinning process. You can watch the video we watched by clicking on this link:
