  • The Letter R

This week we are learning about the letter R. The boys and girls painted red R’s at the easel and made rabbits. They used their fine motor skills to place ears, a nose, eyes, and a cotton tail on their rabbits!

  • Group Time Fun

The Toddlers have been reading “Pete the Cat: I Love My New Shoes” during group time. The books reviews colors as the cat walks around town. Also during group, the children have been playing a memory game using felt cats to work on cognitive development. The children are asked to close their eyes as one of the cats magically disappears. Then they must decide as a group which one is missing. The boys and girls are doing a great job using their memory and observing the changes.

  • Let’s Finger paint!

Today the Toddlers finger painted pet snakes. The boys and girls loved feeling the cold and slimy paint run through their fingers. We made sure to wear our smocks so we did not get paint on our clothes!

  • Sorting Goldfish

The Early 3’s worked on their sorting skills with goldfish this week. We used the goldfish to sort and practice patterning. Take advantage of teachable moments in unlikely places (like snack time! )
